1. Condolences given to Steve Mars whose mother recently passed away.

2. NYFTTA board passed proposal to clarify authority and to authorize to act as CEO and provisional Ex. Director of the
Sport Fishing Education Center (attached).

3. Minutes of09/27/01 Meeting Aei correction: add Chuck Hollins to attendees list; approved.

4. Balance in account: $2,006.01; expected November income: $5,000

5. Fundraising: need design; three events this winter (1stshow in  January): Sport fishing show, Federation show, Brentwood Campus; consider selling/coping stripped bass picture (not sure of copy rights), raffles, tee-shirts, hats, mugs, low budget items, large cash raffle, tee-shirt with picture of kids w/logo, sell memberships w/tee-shirt and/or mug, give out pencils with phone number; Brad to give Lenora cost information/contacts on lower budget items; Education Center has a budget of at least $30,000; will also get donations from people/organizations using Center.

6. Holiday Spirit will be held at
Connetquot State Park on November 30 from 6 to 9pm.; $30.00 per person for board members, etc./$40 otherwise; raffles will be held, bring items and friends; expected to sell approx. 100 tickets; LIBBA to buy 20 tickets.

7. Ribbon Cutting: waiting for the contractor to finish, grant is held up; still need to get the aquaculture facility up and going; possible small shed for storage in back; Date: optimistically 3rdweek of March/beginning of April. Target date was Nov. 5th.

8. Curriculum/Planning Programs: we have one curriculum by Jack Ferrera; curriculum needs to be unique, constantly changing but also constant; different organizations should be allowed to use their own curriculum; Al Goldberg wants to do a rod building class (for profit) in February, cannot charge but will request donation, will offer a request of a $50 donation plus a road; still need lease agreement; Saltwater fly fishing seminar, Al and Ron need a plan of action (make plugs, shark presentation); cannot have valuable items at Center yet due to lack
of security.

9. Building/Purchasing:have lights, bathrooms, and heat; need lease agreement, master key, key to opensecurity gate to the ocean.

10. Sellingcamping necessities from Center: possibilities including bait, pencils, ice machine; possibly offer use of center, events, etc., not in lease agreement butcould be build it in; plan on having a school band play for campers opening day.

11. Alliance: papers have been filed and accountant has sighed off; expected to hear something from IRS in the next 30 days or so; need additional funding (for items such as volunteers, hot dogs, etc.); Form alliance but able to bring in outside (ex. LIBBA seat contributes $5,000); as grants come in, organizations responsibility lessened; should be collection of partnerships; Education Center books to be printed shortly
(approx. 50), Johnto do committee letter.

12. License Plate legislation: funds will also be open to corporate sponsorships; asked for support; encouraged to write letters (send to Sweeney and/or Johnson); $20 per license plate fee; 3 people will sit on board and will dispense monies by unanimous vote for education.

13. Approving items for fundraising will be done by email; simple majority approves.

14. Next meeting to be held in January.
